AW chooses the Architect of the Year
With this award, which has been presented by AW Architektur & Wohnen magazine since 2012, the editors honour architects who provide new impulses for the industry with individual concepts and creative design ideas.
Since 2019, the “AW Architect of the Year” award has been associated with a six-week exhibition. The works of the prize-winner can be seen in the internationally renowned architecture gallery Aedes Architekturforum Berlin.
The award ceremony will take place during the opening of the exhibition. High-calibre guests from the national and international architecture scene will meet at the Pfefferberg in Berlin. With the live-streaming of the event, people interested in architecture from all over the country and the world will be able to participate virtually and get a first impression.

The exhibition is generously supported by LAUFEN, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sanitary ceramics, and the design and architecture firm STEININGER from Austria.
